Methodology for Testing the Micro-shear Bond Strength of Dual-cure Resin Cement to Pretreated Zirconia Surface

نویسندگان

چکیده

The aim of this study was to evaluate the micro-shear bond strength dual-cure resin cement zirconia surface pretreated with different techniques. Twenty-four sintered Y-TZP discs (Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc.) a diameter and thickness 11.8 mm 5.0 mm, respectively, were used for present divided into four groups according pretreatment procedures: 1) control group without any pretreatment; 2) MDP (10-methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate) primer treated; 3) sandblasted 50 μm Al2O3 at 2 bar, 4) treated in combination sandblasting. measured by applying an axial load on bonded interface using universal testing machine LMT 100 (LAM Technologies, Italy). An original methodology elaboration specimens developed. Statistical analysis performed SPSS 11.5 Inc., Chicago, IL, USA, Excel 7.0 VB. One-way independent samples (ANOVA) analyze data level significance p < 0.05. Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test reduce instance false positive results. impact pre-treatment procedures studied best revealed.

Evaluation of shear bond strength between dual cure resin cement and zirconia ceramic after thermocycling treatment

PURPOSE This study was performed to evaluate shear bond strength (SBS) between three dual-cured resin cements and silica coated zirconia, before and after thermocycling treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixty specimens were cut in 15 × 2.75 mm discs using zirconia. After air blasting of 50 µm alumina, samples were prepared by tribochemical silica coating with Rocatec™ plus. The specimens were ...

Influence of Pre-Sintered Zirconia Surface Conditioning on Shear Bond Strength to Resin Cement

This study analyzed the shear bond strength (SBS) of resin composite on zirconia surface to which a specific conditioner was applied before sintering. After sintering of either conditioner-coated or uncoated specimens, both groups were divided into three subgroups by their respective surface modifications (n = 10 per group): no further treatment; etched with hydrofluoric acid; and sandblasted w...

Effects of Various Chairside Surface Treatments on Zirconia-Resin Cement Bond Strength

Introduction: Various surface treatments have been used to improve the adhesion of resin cement to zirconia restorations. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of different surface treatments on the bond strength of resin cement to zirconia (Y-TZP) in clinical practice. Methods: thirty square Y-TZP samples were classified into three groups of 10, including group SB (50 µm sandblast...
